Digiscope
 |
The DigiScope digital microscope is perfect for introducing children to the world of microscopy. You can start by using the DigiScope as a traditional microscope with the eyepiece, 20x to 100x zoom lens and top and bottom LED lighting. It is small and lightweight for use in and out of the classroom.
If that’s not enough, you can then attach the included USB camera to display images on your computer screen for a larger group and to capture still images, videos, and time lapse videos. You will get 2 versions of the software; one designed for elementary students and the other for middle/high school students; they both have a cool measurement feature. To add to the value, the DigiScope also includes a very nice carrying case, a printed book of experiment/lessons, and a plastic set with forceps, dropper and sample box. |
Education Application:
• Give younger students an early introduction to a traditional microscope design in a simple and understandable way
• Display microscope images to a whole group with the USB computer camera attachment, everyone sees the same image
• Encourage science outside the classroom by using the DigiScope as a portable field microscope
• Enhance technology learning by capturing images and movies for integration in student reports and presentations
• Take lessons one step further using the software to analyze and make measurements of captured images
